The superstars of the silver screen set the trend for meditation and what a wonderful path to follow. These legends demonstrated by their faith and belief in meditation how it can focus and relax a person. In this way, much of their success in their careers has been credited to their dedication to meditation.
Shirley MacLaine started meditating in the very early 1980s this award-winning actress said she was an overachiever and had so much on her mind. Shirley has become a Hollywood icon and finding some relief, calm, and focus, her daily meditation has been indispensable. MacLaine reflects, “I learned to be quiet. I learned to be still inside. And then I [asked myself], ‘What shall I do about this?’ Then boom—the answer would come.”
Richard Gere started meditating in the 1970s and has been a Zen Buddhist and friend to the Dalai Lama for many years. Richard maintains that meditation is a way to wind down from the financial pressures, deadlines, and other stresses that accompany each day and producing movies. He practices every day and relies on the positive energy he feels from meditation saying, “It helps me set my motivation for the day.”
Clint Eastwood is a famous Hollywood actor, director, and producer he became a household name in the 1960s and starred in the Dirty Harry movies. Clint has been practicing meditation for over 40 years to manage stress and keep relaxed. He has found that meditation is the reason he can remain focused and calm.
